Blaise Lachiver MALA CSLA


Principal Landscape Architect

Blaise is a co-founder and Principal of LandForum Landscape Architects, and has over 10 years of experience in landscape architecture, design and planning. He believes in developing beautiful designs that embrace the genius loci - spirit of place. Blaise has several years of experience working for Manitoba Parks and Manitoba Conservation as a Park Planner & Designer, where he worked on a multitude of projects such as the planning and design of campgrounds and yurts, playground design and construction, and provincial park management plans. Blaise also worked as a Recreation and Playground Consultant for a design-build firm where he developed playgrounds and recreation facilities across Manitoba, Saskatchewan and NW-Ontario. His main focus during this tenure was to develop recreation spaces in indigenous and remote communities. He is a Canadian Certified Playground Inspector. Blaise has worked on multiple residential land development plans. Blaise currently holds a position as a Director of the Manitoba Association of Landscape Architects.

Marie Lachiver MALA CSLA


Principal Landscape Architect

Marie is a Principal Landscape Architect at LandForum, where she specializes in master planning and design detailing. She has over 10 years of experience working in landscape architecture, and over 5 years of experience managing landscape development projects through construction. Prior to joining LandForum, Marie was a Landscape Architect at Scatliff+Miller+Murray, then at Little Bluestem Landscape Architecture, where she played integral roles in major master planning and landscape architecture projects throughout the Prairies. Marie’s diverse skillset found her working on an array of projects, including city parks, playgrounds, public reserve parks, schools, public art installations, and community centres. She combines her passion for sustainability and outdoor recreation into each of her projects, while developing partnerships with her clients and their stakeholders to create innovative spaces. Marie has a background in volunteerism, having held positions with MALA, Manitoba Eco Network, Sustainable Building Manitoba and Downtown Winnipeg BIZ.
